monday 28th February - Penang

Today we went to see Penang Hill. The funicular climbs 830m height into the mountain. Creeping to the top feels like a really slow disney ride! The views are spectacular when you eventually get up and you really see the colossal growth of Penang as it creeps into the surrounding jungle.

There was a beautiful Hindu temple at the top and there was a ceremony in progress when we got there. I literally stood perplexed for about 40minutes watching each part of the ritual in awe.

We went back to our guest house and discovered that Melinda and Ian had moved into the guest house next door to ours so we had a few beers with them and hit the hay.
